Phil Wieszczyk, MMT, LPC
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in music therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia. While life changes have, over time, led me away from music therapy as my primary vocation, I still integrate music into my work and draw significantly on theoretical frameworks that emphasize experience, creativity, and storytelling as tools for understanding and change.
I have experience in both clinical and administrative applications of creative arts and traditional psychotherapies through work in behavioral health facilities, community-based settings, and private practice.
I utilize a blend of cognitive behavioral, existential, and Jungian frameworks in my approach to treatment. I also draw from parts psychology and somatic awareness as effective means of developing greater insight and improved behavioral outcomes.
In my free time, I enjoy all things outdoors, particularly casting a fly on a trout stream or following my Labrador through the uplands.
